Executive Network Centrality and Stock Liquidity
We find that firms whose executives are more central in the network of all executives have lower bid-ask spreads. We present evidence that improved liquidity is attributable to efficient information flows around executives in more advantageous network positions.

CEO Social Capital and the Value Relevance of Accounting Metrics
Equity investors value CEO social capital when pricing firm equity. When social capital is high, value relevance of book value of equity declines, whereas the relevance of earnings measures increase. This is especially the case when information asymmetries are high.

Executive Networks and Global Stock Liquidity
The positive effects of executive networks on stock liquidity are subsumed in countries where investor protections are weaker. In transparent countries, the positive effects of information flows dominates, whereas the negative effects of executive power are visible where institutions are weak.
A short bio
Dr. McCumber currently serves as the Associate Dean of Graduate Studies and Research to the College of Business at Louisiana Tech University.
Dr. McCumber earned his doctorate in finance from the Walton College of Business at the University of Arkansas, an MBA from the Cox School of Business at Southern Methodist University, and a BA in International Relations at the University of Pennsylvania.
Data science, specifically, business data science, is what he most loves to do and teach, although the Student Managed Investment Fund and Global Consulting gigs are pretty darn cool.
